There are two levels of participation in
OHSA’s VPP:

Star
Companies with exemplary safety and health
management performance and injury illness rates below
the national average in their industries.

Merit
Companies which show potential to become Star and
have set goals to improve to this level within three
(3) years.
The Benefits:

Removal from programmed
inspection lists
-
Citations are not issued
for violations that are quickly corrected
-
Additional recognition for
outstanding safety and health management performance
